I want to add a sub to my B&W 600 setup:- DM 603 S3, LCR60 S3, DM601 S3.
My listening room is open to dinning room, overall it measures about 25' x 21' with 8' ceiling.
I got a good deal on PSB Subsonic 6 (not 6i). It is a ported design with 12 in driver, although its RMS power of 130 W seems a bit low on paper. Any opinions on this sub?
Thanks

The PSB Subsonic 6 is an excellent sub. I would opt for the 6i ,the extra power and improvements will be noticed over the plain old 6. dmc-electronics has the 6i blemished for about $450.

I have no issues with mine, in fact, I like it alot. Tight, clean, and virtually flat to 20Hz. At my listening volumes the power is quite adquate.

Feanor and WAF!,
Thanks for your replies.
I've heard of some port noise problems. Do you have any comments?
Thanks

For what it's worth, Sound and Vision mag rated ten subs in their September issue. They spoke very highly of the PSB Subsonic 6i (http://www.soundandvisionmag.com/article.asp?section_id=5&article_id=663&page_number=9).

Never had the problem at the sound levels I listen to.
