    Wow!

A question to the fine folks of AR...How sensitive are you to speed variations? When you a play an LP do you care if a piano note reveals some wow? Do you even notice? Do you demand near-perfect speed control?

I am EXTREMELY sensitive. I can notice the slightest variation in pitch, so I do find it a bit annoying. My Pioneer flutters at least once per LP. I enjoy my DD for that reason.

    wow and flutter are annoying

but with your mmf5 i cant see it happening. unless the belt/pulley/platter contact areas needs cleaning or perhaps a new belt. once that effect is noticed on a component it drives you to a better setup or to resolve the problem.
