USB connections and sound cards when burning vinyl...

OK, I have been burning a bit of vinyl through a Bellari VP530 out of its USB port, connected to my laptop. Does the type of sound card my computer has make a difference when going this route? Probably a silly questions for those of you with more computer knowledge than me, but I'm just wondering if I need to attend to anything to make the best recordings I can. Any info about this process that you think may be helpful would be appreciated. Thanks.

The sound card in a computer converts the digital sounds to analog and sends them out through the speakers or the analog output. With what you're doing, the Bellari converts analog to digital and your computer processes it, without respect to the sound card.

Thanks, exactly what I needed to know. Kind of thought that was the case, but wasn't sure. Appreciate the answer.
