Skeptic - you'd be pleased with this....
At least I think it was you that is the big fan of the Dvorak Cello Concerto...

Browsing a local vinyl store I came across this:

    Dvorak's Cello Concerto
    Pierre Fournier
    Vienna Philharmonic
    Rafael Kubelik
    London
    KIJC(M) 9215
    Mono
    Japanese Super Analogue Disc

    I already had this:

    Dvorak's Cello Concerto
    Paul Tortelier
    Philharmonia
    Sir Malcolm Sargent
    HMV
    XLP 30018 M
    UK

but it is not in great condition so remembering your words I went for it. We'll see how it turns out. Should be in pefect condition - it was still sealed. I have one other super analogue disk - the Rak 3 piano with Ashkenazy/Previn and the London Symphony and it is a fabulous recording - one of the best I own.

    Just sharing...

Sounds like a beautiful recording. I like Fournier very much too and I have him performing the Dvorak cello concerto on a cd DG 429 155-2 with the Berliner Philharmoniker conducted by Geroge Szell. He also performs on this disc Bloch's Schelomo and Bruch's Kol Nidrei. I highly recommend this disc for its outstanding performances, excellent selection of music and excellent sound. It's just that I happen to like the Rostropovich recording even more.
