What is Zone 2?

    What is Zone 2?
    I want to buy a onkyo receiver, and it has a set of speakers labeled "Zone II" Do they work as a second pair of front speakers?

    Zone 2 is the one between 1 and 3, also just a tad behind the "twilight", and not nearly as far as the 'end' zone.

    Now for the serious answer...

    Zone 2 refers to people who would like to have a second set of left and right channel speakers set up in either a separate room or sometimes people put them on a deck or patio for things like pool parties or outdoor listening.
