    Moon?

I auditioned a pair of Focal JMLab Electra BE 1027 this past weekend at http://www.hansonav.com/ in Dayton, OH...

they were very very clear, and had very nice low range extension.

Electronics include a Moon CD Player, and a Moon Integrated Amp.

I have never herd of Moon prior to this visit to http://www.hansonav.com/, so I am wondering how Moon compares to Anthem amps & pre/pro's

    Thanks,
    Mike

Moon is pretty up there, but I haven't seen a lot of professional reviews, other than from CES reports and such. I think it's considered comparable to Ayre and Aero and Chord.

"Moon" is the name of various series of products made by Simaudio. As Dusty says, this stuff is high-end to very high-end. See their web site ...

if you make it up to dayton, check out http://www.hansonav.com/
(where I auditioned electra be's with moon gear... very nice ;o)

the owner and another worker were they and were very kind and helpful... ofcourse if they want to make a sale right...
I have been in places where the employees don't want to look at you unless you are going to drop $30k that day, and also in stores where a bunch of kids work... and ... ME> "So, is this projector 1080p?" kid> "whats 1080p?"

    rofl

another nice place (although the people not as friendly) is http://www.audioetc.tv/
they had many many show rooms.... (bigest audio store I have been in)

    Rock,

What the name of the website again?
I visited that store on saturday. Demo Rooms in upstairs wasnt my thing, but very cool stuff on the first.

The only thing I didnt understand was that they had Pathos Classic One hidden in a cabinet. Wasnt even plugged in.

I was hoping to audition Moon LP 5.3, but they only had P-J phono pres. I dont get it.

Have you ever visited Audible Elegance? I should've check it out, but I was in a hurry to go home and play with a REL T-3 I purchased. This just might be what I've been looking for.

Thanks for the info there Roxcie.

I have a Moon dvd player, the Calypso, and it is outstanding. Both as a dvd palyer and a cd player,it has amazing picture quality and top notch sound, built like a tank(weighs close to 30 lbs)with high quality internal components. If you are in that market Moon components are worth a look.

Some years ago, I attended a demo featuring Moon gear, and speakers of a brand I don't remember, though the speaks looked like tall pyramids with bent tops. The sound was outstanding - I remember one detail where a bass player slapped the bass with his hand, and the sound was so lifelike, that there was no question but that the bass was being slapped with a HUMAN hand. Other attendees kept motioning for more gain...
