Used Integrated for <$250?

I am looking for a used 2ch receiver or integrated amp for my brother...
are there any specific models, or general brands/series I should be watching one ebay and audiogon?

I am debating building an integrated amp based on the LM1876 for myself, and may just does this for my brother too, but I need to find some time...lol
