    Sansui 777 amp

I have a Sansui AU 777 amp . It has a protector light above the power switch, which doesn't light up. The amp is working, but does the protector light being off, mean that something is wrong?

I would think that it would be the other way around, especially since you mentioned that the amp is working fine. I would think that if the light goes on, it would indicate that the protection circuitry has been activated.

    right

I asked this question on a Sansui site and was told that this is the first solid state amp ever made. With this amp the protector should be off, but with my Sansui 9090 it should be on.
