Receiver recommendation - Phono and Surround
    Hey there...

can people recommend a nice vintage or low budget receiver that has both a phono preamp as well as surround sound?

I have a turntable with its own receiver at the moment, but I want to have my home theater on the same system.

    Thanks!

Thanks! But I was hoping for more than one option... or a recommendation based on someones experience with a make model... I know I'm looking for a late 90s AV receiver, but is DENON the best? or Technics? or Yamaha?

I like Denon, Onkyo and Yamaha for this sort of thing...or of spending a tad more, Marantz. Other options from Technics and Yamaha:

I have a Marantz home theatre receiver, it has surround sound (of course) but no phono pre-amp.

Buy a receiver and buy a separate phono preamp like the bellari VP130 tube preamp.
