    Question Bryston 4B SST

    Hi Everyone,

Let me just start with my system first.

    Dac: Benchmark Dac1
    CD Player: Marantz SA8400
    Pre: Krell KSL 2
    Power: Adcom FGA 555II
    Speaker: Dynaudio Audiance 70
Interconnect: Silkylinks and Guerilla Audio with Eichman Bullet Plug.
Speaker Cable: Ocos with Eichman Banan Plug.
Power Cable: Harmonic Tech Pro AC II (3)

Now I think and was trying to replace the Acdom over some real hi end amp. As the sound of adcom becoming boring to me. I am not an expert that is why I need yours opinion on this. Recently someone is offering me a Bryston 4B SST for a reasonable price $2100 (Little used). I really need your help to decide whether I will go for that or not. Is Bryston any good.

I have read many reviews about this amp. And it is highly recommended but I think I should get opinion from you guys who are the users and know too much about audio setup. So pls pls help.

Of course the ideal thing would be to drop the Bryston into your system to see what, you, think.

The Bryston is a very good amp and would match your Krell very well. The SST is even better than the regular 4B. The 4B should be an overall improvement over the Adcom but especially in clarity and remaining free of grain and distortion when wanting to listen at high levels. If it was me I'd jump on it.

I'd also recommend using the XLR connections between the pre and power amp.

Thank you so much for your help and yes I will use XLR and will go for that. Thanks once again. Is it a good price $2100 for a little used one.
