preamp for Paradigms Studio 20 with Marantz MA500s

I have Studio 20 v3 with a pair of Marantz monblock amps - 125 Watts each

I was using a cambridge audio 640 integrated, but I got a good deal on the monblocks ($300 for the pair - 50% off list) and I am going to stick with them (plus, George Lucas approves them ! ;)

Anyway, I am trading in the CA integrated amp and looking for a dedicated preamp

any suggestions ?

What kinda a budget are we working with here ?

The NAD C162 is a great buy at 599. Has a nice phono stage as well.

Also look at Rotel, Adcom, Parasound.
