    Phono setup Amp suggestions needed!

I'm looking for phono amp to pair with an MC275 tube amp and my Music Hall table. Speakers are Klipsch reference, but I'll probably upgrade them.

I have a Marantz integrated amp that I use now, but I'd like to get something that has balanced inputs.

    Suggestions?

    thanks for the help

I am not sure if I understand. You want a phono preamp with balanced outputs? This will allow you to go balanced into the preamp or integrated amp. Can you tell us more what you are wanting.

Ok, sorry about that. I'm looking for suggestions for a phono preamp that has balanced outputs to connect to the Mcintosh MC275 power amp.

The Pro-ject Phono Box RS has balanced outputs. If I remember correctly it retails for $1,000. There are others more expensive with balanced outputs but I do not know your budget.

I saw the Pro-ject, and also the Musical Fidelity M1 ViNL, similar price range.

I'd like to keep the price below 1500.

You are correct the MC275 is a power amp, you can't just plug a phono stage into it without being able to control the volume. You need a preamp with the phono section built in or both a phono stage and preamp. I'm not aware of any phono stage with variable output. If your MC275 is a later version after 1993 that's a nice amp.
