    Outlaw Audio
I currently have the following system:

Denon AVR2400 (5.1 ready) using with DVD player with built in dolby digital decoder
Denon POA 8300 running fronts and center

    B&W CDM 7nt
    B&W CDN Cnt
    Clements dipole rears

Am considering either upgrading 50" rear project TV to Sanyo PLV - Z2 front projector and screen or Outlaw Audio model 950 pre/755 amplifier

If it were your 2-3 grand, what would you do. I know that the AVR 2400 is due for replacement, but I still like the overall sound of the system. I like my rear projector TV, but having a front projector system would really create the theater feeling that I am loking for.

No real room info, as I will soon be moving.

Thanks for you help, any input is appreciated

You said, "but having a front projection system would really create the theater feeling that I am looking for." Seems like you answered your own question,no?

Anyway, I have always felt that we ourselves know how to best spend our money. So why not go out and get a front projector, that is if you can find one that fits within your budget.

I'm with bturk on this one. You state that you still like the sound of your audio system so why would you change it? Just because something "new" is available? Hardly a reason to upgrade if you ask me (btw, I run a Denon/CDM NT ht). It really seems like you'd derive more personal satisfaction from a new video system.

    Good luck and have fun.

    Stages
This all runs in stages anyway.

It sounds like you need to improve your video experience first. Then, once you've done that, you'll be heading toward "my video is great but my audio could use some improvement to match the improvement in my video" at which time you'll need to upgrade the receiver or processor. At that point "my speakers aren't making me as happy as I used to be," then you can go to "my sources need to match my awesome audio and video capability" and you'll need to replace your DVD player, interconnects, etc. Then it's "I need more power," "I need conditioned power and better speaker connections," "I need a better stand to hold my stuff," and finally, "I need to upgrade my video projector and screen."

    Full circle; start over...
