bump on this one. onkyo has taken a stab at getting into mid-fi 2-channel audio with this piece and the matching cd player. i have always been a fan of onkyo and admit i am a little intrigued. any feedback out there on this amp?

    regards,
    Paul

Yes, there is a review right here on audioreviews:

I have heard the Onkyo A-9555. I spent a Saturday listening to it for about 3 hours at the audio dealer here. It sounds wonderful. I was quite taken by the sound. It's smoother and more detailed than even Onkyo's past products, with a larger sound stage like the much more expensive amps. I think I'm gonna get one soon. I loved how crystal clear and clean it was without being bright. I'm savin up already for it. I liked the sound better than the Bryston amp he had by it and the Bryston was $3000.00!

    Unfortunately...
...it doesn't have phono-in jacks, pre-out/power-in jacks, a true tape monitor circuit or dubbing facilites...it's interconnectability is limited for those of us looking for a competent 2ch-stereo integrated...

The Marantz PM-7001 integrated or the Outlaw Audio RR2150 receiver and the HK3480 receiver are probably better in this respect...

The Absolute Sound did a review and loved this amp.
