There is a big distributor of Swans speakers here in my area and they have both Emotiva and Red Dragon amps in their show rooms. I had been wanting to listen to the F2.2's to see if they sounded anything like the older Allure's (which I looove) and unfortunately they had them hooked up to some Emotiva's amps which are stupendously lacking in all areas. They were switched out with the Red Dragons and although they were better than the Emotiva's I wasn't quite sold on them either

Part of the issue is that I am not fond of the F2.2's tweeter so maybe that had something to do with it. I'd like to hear the Red Dragons on a few more speakers before delivering a final verdict.

From the info, sounds like a good little amp for a 2 ch setup, in a study or living room. go great with one of my Squeeze Box's. Something that can be place out of the way (with the auto sensing source) and all you would see is the info on the Squeeze box and some nice tower speaker or be completely low key and get bookshelf.

Yeah, it looks like a good choice for a small, cheap amp to pair with a Squeezebox in a 2nd system, etc...

I've read some good reviews of red dragon audio. Never tried them though... Another brand using ICE modules - they're not the cheapest but not nearly the most expensive either.

I would rather use one of the higher power tripath digital amps over the Emotiva. I have been very impressed with these little amps.
