    So far I'm really happy with the Foreplay III. Didn't know if I'd like a stepped attenuator for each channel but it works. It's kinda nice for pots to stay put and with ten position there's lots less fiddling. The Foreplay comes with two 12AU7 which I switched to NOS RCA clear tops. It also uses a OD3 shunt regulator tube in parallel with the preamp circuit and only one output cap in the signal path of each channel. I swapped the standard OD3 regulator tube for a NOS Sylvania. It's also upgraded with some nice Solen caps. The Foreplay drives the 2a3 Paramour mono-blocks and Dayton solid sate mono-blocks with great aplomb. All I need to complete my Bottlehead collection is a Seduction phono stage and I just missed one on A'gon.
