wow, thats the suck :( didn't even get the thrill of blowing it.

I presume you have isolated the problem to the amp and not a source or load issue?

    Wow, just realised something wierd.
In all the years that I've been involved in this hobby, every piece of equipment which failed in only one channel has always been the left channel - a Harmon Kardon cassette deck, a JVC VCR, Denon CD, Sansui pre-amp, Marantz DVD, a tubed amp whose make escapes me. All different brands and vintages.

    Are left channels cursed?

yes, my yammie's left channel died once too, it's a pain to say, but with me, it was the left channel amp, and you could try going to a audio dealer (who haves some knowledge) and ask him or they make such things, otherwise, i'm sorry to say this, but, then it's dead for real

    oh nooo!!!!

we'll have to give it a proper burial then! ok, gasoline? check. lighter? check. couch for guests? check.

ok, now all we need to do is sell some tickets, pour on some gas and mourn as it burns...

(and with the income, you can get a NEW one!!)
