Question Yamaha Natural Sound M-50 docs

I picked up a 240V-50Hz Yamaha M-50 on the Bay and it came with zip documentation. I contacted Yamaha-UK about it and they had nothing... actually, they were completely in the dark about it. Anybody know where I can find its documentation? Docs on the US version (120V-60 Hz) would be OK too.

    Hi, dojo,

You're not the first person to ask about this recently.

Normally you can get Yamaha manuals here, even for very old models, but the M-50 isn't among them unfortunately ...

There was a thread earlier this you might have found using 'Search' on this forum ...
WANTED - - -yamaha m-50 power amp specs

Looks like someone found a copy of the M-50 manual here ...

Moral: use 'Search' for good results.

Thanks Feanor, that's perfect! Now I've just got to figure out the power situation. The power connector hanging off the back of the amp looks like a continental style female plug, I think it's called an IEC320 C14 3-pin female socket. I guess I could plug in a computer power cable directly and then chop off the other end and splice in a standard 240V plug, but my original plan was to get a small step up transformer to plug it into. Thinking 1000 W should do the job.

appears to need to hook to something like this...
