Receiver preout to Power Amp, help!

I currently have a Pioneer VSXD710S receiver running my Klipsch Reference HT. Is it possible for me to hook up a power amp from this receiver to use in a pure 2-channel stereo set up? Would something like a Rotel RB-1070 be a significant upgrade to the stereo format of the receiver?

    thanks

No you can't use your receiver as a preamp because it lacks R + L main channel pre-outs. The Rotel RB-1070 may provide an upgrade in terms of a more refined sound and ability to drive loads below 8 ohms with greater ease, but will not provide you with any significant increase in loudness over the Pioneer receiver operating in 2-channel mode.

Thanks Glen. I can move on from that idea then.
