help needed on valve amps
can anyone advise please,
i have an audion silver night 300b
problem,,,, one of the 300b valves has given up,
can i replace it with a 3oo b premium meshplate,
£115.00 +vat on it,s own, or do i need a pair of identical valves
problem two,
i have an audion sterling which i am using as a spare, i have a diiferent driver valve for this & did have a pair of kt 90 lx valves , which made it sound better, but one of them has gone down, a dealer has offered a kt 90 eh @£31
once again can i put a different valve ,probably the equivalent, (but not the same,) in the amp safely
any advice will be most welcome,,,, john

Any properly functioning 300B will work. If you do not use a matched pair in your amps they will sound different. No harm will occur other than to your feelings.http://forums.audioreview.com/images/icons/icon6.gif

But your going to have to adjust the bias so they match correctly.
