    Cool McIntosh MC 150 amp

I purchased a McIntosh MC 150 and need some info. Does someone know what the "Left and Right Level Controls 1.4 V to 2.5 V in the back of the amp are for?

Congrats on your puchase, I think you won't regret it

The level controls are a sort of volume knop. they alter the sensitivity of the amp. 1,4V means that the amp needs a 1,4Volt input to output it's 'maximum rated power', if you turn the knob to 2,5 Volt, it needs 2,5Volt of input to do that. These controls come in useful if your preamp has a very high output voltage...

    Keep them spinning,
    Bert.

    Mc 150

Thank you for the input. We don't have the instruction manual. Your help was very useful. Thanks again.
