Blue Circle BC22- MkII + POT Upgrade

    Greetings,

Last February, I contacted the company and discussed upgrades for my already seven year old amp.

Mr. Gilbert Yeung, head of Blue Circle, suggested that since that they already had the MkII upgrade available, that a POT "transplant" would bring the amp to the level of their more expensive 200 series w/o the tubes.

All I can say, is that it was the best money invested on an up-grade ever! Mr. Yeung's vision of what music should sound like, was right on the money! The guy is a genious.

I'm glad to hear you're happy, BK. And interested to hear our endorsement of Blue Circle: certainly they have a very good rep for sound and product/service integrity.

I always chuckle, though, when I see those gobs of silicone cement holding things in place. I suppose it acts as pretty good damping material.

Thanks for the kind words. You should find the list in my profile. In the meantime, here's a pic:

I'd love hear those Newform Reseach speakers. Were I to replace my Magneplanars for some reason, e.g. I could no longer accomodated dipolars, I'd look in their direction for sure.

And I'll be that room corner setup works very well.
