Has anyone built one of these amps. I'm thinking about buying one just out of curiousity. There is a whole thread about these kits from a few that have built them. They are very positive about the sound.

I've been watching Class D Audio for a while; (first spotted them on eBay a while back).

Yeah, right! 48 pages of posts.

Looks like lots of suggestions and tweaks. Did anyone mention building in RFI filters, given this is a Class D? No doubt an all-aluminum case would be best to control RFI leaking in or out.

I own a Class D amp, but I dint build it. It was offered for a couple of years through Parts Express by Sonic Impact. Its a suped up version of their little portable T-amp, called a Super T. Just a simple chip set, with no filters. Its rated at a whopping 10 watts per ch RMS into 4ohms. The Super T has upgraded electronics in the power section for better bass extention as well as a better volume control knob. With a good pre-amp, this little amp works miracles and its ink-black quiet (yes, the Super T is in a brushed aluminum case).

I've seen projects where guys hook these little chip sets up to power supplies that have 15lb triodial transformers and input capacitors the size of soup cans and they sound unfvckinbelievable. Even the stock Ts have been used in conjunction with powered subs to great effect. The midrange quality has been compared to that of a single-ended triode amp.

Once again I'm on my phone so I can't provide links, but if you amble over to DIYaudio.com, they gots a whole forum dedicated to Class D projects and an international brain trust of dudes who know all the tweaks and are mostly friendly (just make sure to do a search before asking questions.
