Budget Amp

Hi all. A friend of mine has $1,000 to spend for a hifi and I'd like to build the system around a pair of Axiom M3ti's. I own these and think they are an amazing bargain for $275. My question is this. Would the new NAD C320BEE integrated amp be a good match for these speakers? I was also thinking about getting the Pioneer CD/DVDA/SACD player to use as his source. One reviewer said that the bass is a little bit boosted on the amp and I know the Axiom has a little bump as well to make it appear bigger than it really is. Let me know what you think.
