Bryston SP1.7 Pre/Pro

Any owners out there that utilize 7.1 with this piece?

The manual doesnt come out and say that YES, 5.1 and 6.1 can be turned into 7.1 by the processor. I know that even the Outlaw 950 does this using the Cirrus extra surround. The Rotels do it, the Ati;s do it.

The back of the SP1.7 do indeed have the back surrounds output, but I am hoping that ALL dvd's I watch take advantage of the 7.1. IF it only works when the DVD's themselves have the appropriate flags, and are triggered with 6.1, then I will go with Rotel or Ati, or something else that I am more familiar with.
