Anyone in L.A. Recommend a Good Hi-Fi Repair Service?
My AKAI receiver works for the most part but after a brownout, the infrared went out and my remote can't communicate with the receiver. Its driving me crazy. The remote lights up and sends a signal but my beautiful early 90's Akai AA-V435 doesnt respond.

I don't know if its a fuse or something in the circuit boards or something?!

So anyone in the Los Angeles area know or recommend a good service repair shop for high end audiophile equipment?

There is one place on Beverly Blvd, http://www.AheadStereo.com/ which I'm tempted to go but want some first hand feedback from my LA audiophile homies.

ANy recommendations and experience's would be great. Maybe what you paid and your problem.

    Thanks everyone!
