I was thinking about shooting you an offer on that 502, but I withheld. It sold quickly though. I still can't decide what I want. Plus I'm cheap. It can be frustrating at times. hehe

Right now I'm considering the 1501 hybrid fitted with mundorf caps on AG for $350. I'm thinking I may go this route. Slap some tung sols in there and an upgraded power cord and it may just suit me. I'd hate to go full tube again and be disappointed by faint, thin sound with lackluster bass, despite the surreal soundstaging and airiness.

On the other hand, I'm afraid to go SS because I'm used to the warm nature of tubes and might face what I may consider edgy, clinical SS sound.

I feared the dreaded SS blues as I refer to them, but the combo of my warm Dyns and the Anthem power was the kick in the bass that my system was sorely missing. The Jolida is indeed a fine amp. It matched well with my Ushers and I'm sure its new owner will be pleased with it.
