I am looking to upgade my amp in my current 2.1 audio system. I listen to a lot of singer songwriter stuff, avett brothers, dylan, waits and a lot of 50s and 60s jazz and blues, and am almost always listening to vinyl these days.

I am open to any suggestions, integrated, go tube preamp rather than amp? I am open to anything that will keep the maggies composed, not so in your face at louder volumes, warmer. Id like to stay under 2000 if possible. Can I even get a significant enough sonic improvement, over the current amp/preamp combo? Budget 2000 or less.
